Welcome to Madison Avenue Upper Elementary School’s (MAUE) website.  Please take a look around and learn about the great things happening at MAUE.

We are a part of the Madison County Mississippi School District where “a comprehensive building program, an excellent curriculum, and top ranking test scores” make us one of the fastest growing and best in the state.  Experienced, well educated faculty, and parent involvement are the key to our successes.

We are proud to maintain a Mississippi Department of Education “School Performance Classification” of a “Level 5 Superior-Performing” school which is the highest possible classification.  MAUE was added to the district in 2002 and currently educates 590 students in grades 3-5.

MAUE’s focus is on Science and Technology.  In addition to traditional classroom studies, our students get a hands on approach to science in our Science Lab and Outdoor Classroom.  Technology, operated by both the teachers and students, is infused throughout the daily activities to enhance and engage the students in the curriculum.  In addition, our students benefit from weekly computer instruction in our Computer Lab.  Even as students move through the halls of our school, they learn from the magnificent science and technology based murals.
